Tucked away on Wewala Beach in Hikkaduwa, Main Reef isn't just a restaurant—it's a front-row seat to the ocean. We've built our tables right on the sand, so you can dig your toes in while you eat.
Whether you're watching the surfers catch the morning waves, taking a lazy lunch break in the shade, or settling in for a candlelit dinner with live music, the beach is always part of the experience.
The Kitchen
A menu that follows the boats.
Our kitchen is guided by the ocean. Whatever the local fishermen bring in that morning determines what goes on your plate. From whole snapper and jumbo prawns to fresh calamari, our seafood is as local as it gets.
Alongside the catch of the day, we serve the classics. Rich Sri Lankan curries, fragrant rice, and international favourites—all made from scratch with fresh, local ingredients.
